The Diocese of Scranton is hosting this year’s Boys CYO Basketball Tournament. Teams from each diocese in Pennsylvania will compete in the event.

This morning, the boys’ team from St. Clare/St. Paul School in Scranton held a pep rally and send-off at both the main and primary campuses. The team, known as the Crusaders, will play their first game tonight at 8:30 p.m. at Marywood University against a team from the Diocese of Harrisburg.

Teams in the NEPA area have been invited to a gathering at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday at the Cathedral of Saint Peter in Scranton.

Earlier this month, the Lady Crusaders represented the Diocese of Scranton in the Girls CYO Basketball Tournament in Pittsburgh, finishing fourth overall.
