**City Celebrates Lunar New Year with Virtual Event and Crafts**
The Lunar New Year celebration is here, and the community library is getting in on the festivities. Mark your calendar for February 5th from 5 to 6 p.m., when the city library will host a live Zoom session featuring storytime and a craft activity. Participants will learn how to make a DIY dragon tail. If you're unable to attend the live event, a video tutorial on dragon tail-making will be available on the library's website.
Meanwhile, Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh (CLP) has also joined the celebrations. CLP-South Side held its own event marking the Year of the Snake on January 29th. Books such as *Two New Years*, *Welcome to Chinatown*, *Grumpy New Year*, *Happy Chinese New Year!*, and *The Nian Monster* were highlighted as part of its festivities.
Whether through live storytelling or exploring festive traditions at home, this year’s Lunar New Year provides an opportunity to dive into culture and celebrate with creative crafts and engaging tales.
