**Social Work Intern Joins Hill District Carnegie Library Branch**

The Hill District branch of the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh on Centre Avenue has welcomed a new social work intern, Tamyah. A senior in the Bachelor of Arts in Social Work (BASW) program at the University of Pittsburgh, Tamyah is enthusiastic about combining her passion for libraries and social work to support the community she serves.

Her choice to intern at the library stems from her childhood aspiration of becoming a librarian and her current dedication to social work. Tamyah expressed that the opportunity to unite both interests was an ideal fit for her.

As part of her role at the library, Tamyah assists patrons with questions and provides support to address their concerns. She shared her appreciation for the opportunity to contribute to the community through this internship.

Tamyah's work exemplifies the growing integration of social services and libraries, enhancing the breadth of resources available to those who visit Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh's Hill District branch.
